This 2016 field school will investigate the relationship between politics and religion within the Scottish context. It is an opportunity for you to have an experience of Scottish culture while learning the skills needed in ethnographic research. You will tour Edinburgh and the Isle of Iona and meet Scottish citizens, interview informants, and experience participant observation. You will learn the methods of participant/observation, semi-structured interviewing, architectural survey, and questionnaire survey as they contribute to on-going anthropological research.
