But soft, what light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun. Romeo’s words do not yet hint at the tragedy that will unfold in one of Shakespeare’s most popular plays. His young star-crossed lovers, must navigate the hatred of their feuding families, the Capulets and Montagues, in a vain attempt to be together. This production will focus on the influences Romeo and Juliet’s families exert on them while referencing and exploring our own current state of affairs in the United States.
