Empty Bowls

May 2, 2017
11:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Description

Empty Bowls is a project sponsored by the IPFW Department of Fine Arts to help raise money for the Community Harvest Food Bank and the IPFW Ceramics Guild. Individuals donate $15 and receive a beautiful, one-of-a-kind, handcrafted bowl along with a complimentary soup lunch including a drink and dessert. Soup for the event is being donated by Cosmos Restaurants. Two of their favorites will be offered: lemon rice and chicken noodle.

IPFW has partnered with DeKalb High School and Huntington North High School to hand-craft 300 bowls by both students and faculty for the event. Bowls were also made as part of a service learning assignment in the IPFW Advanced Ceramics class.
