Department of Theatre Studio Showcase: The Ballad of 423 and 424
Mar 2, 2017
8:00 PM - 8:30 PM
When a new neighbor, Eric, moves in apartment 424, he is challenged with getting to know his next-door neighbor, Roberta, in apartment 423. Quirky and eccentric, Roberta is one of the most popular and reclusive novelists in the world. This fun, fast-paced play (30 minutes long) about love and loneliness is based on Shakespeare's 23rd Sonnet.
In this opening-and-closing-door ballet, Eric knocks Roberta's entire obsessive routine out of balance, tipping the world on end for both of them. The Ballad of 423 and 424 premiered in April 2012 at the Humana Festival of New American Plays in Louisville, Ky.
