Caring for K–12 in Fort Wayne

Oct 5, 2017
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Description

This year, University Community Conversation (UC²) is exploring how we care for the community in northeast Indiana. Assuring the success of schools in our community involves a multifaceted approach: sufficient resources, innovative teaching, training in content areas, parental support, and student engagement, to name a few.

Our panel of current and former public school teachers and professors who are working on and researching teacher training will discuss these issues and will take your questions.

Panelists:

Samantha McGlennen, Summit Middle School math teacher, IPFW alumna

Jamie Drake, continuing lecturer in Spanish

Matthew Perkins, Ph.D., assistant professor of science education

Pam Reese, Ph.D., assistant professor of communication science and disorders

Jens Clegg, Ph.D., associate professor of Spanish

Isabel Nuñez, Ph.D., professor and chair of educational studies
